RENO, Nev. (AP) — The medical school at the University of Nevada-Reno plans to partner with the state’s largest non-profit health care organization to boost education and research in northern Nevada.
The planned long-term partnership between UNR’s School of Medicine and Renown Health was announced Wednesday and is expected to be formalized later this year.
The medical school has long collaborated with Reno-based Renown but the new partnership aims to increase opportunities for medical student training, help retain new physicians and recruit prominent doctors and researchers.
