PAHRUMP (KTNV) — The Nye County Sheriff's Office reports it responded to a crash involving an ultralight aircraft on Thursday.
The department said the small aircraft impacted a dry lake bed south of Pahrump at about 1:15 p.m.
The pilot survived the collision but received significant injuries, according to the NCSO, and was transported to Las Vegas by Mercy Air.
Inyo County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation as the incident occurred in California, just outside of the Nevada border.
Immediate details as to what led up to the crash were not released.
