Uber is giving back to ensure Nevadans have a safe ride home this St. Patrick’s Day.
For every new customer who takes his or her first Uber ride on March 17, Uber will donate $5 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Nevada.
The ride-sharing company will also give new riders $15 off their first ride with promo code STPATTYS16.
A recent study conducted by Uber showed that people's mindsets around drinking and driving are shifting.
93 percent of all respondents to a nationwide survey would recommend their friends take Uber instead of driving if they had been drinking alcohol.
