Two overnight pedestrian crashes on Friday leave one injured and one dead.
The first happened just before midnight. A male motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Boulder Highway near Coogan Drive. He hit a female pedestrian, who was crossing outside of a crosswalk. The woman died from her injuries.
Reports say that speed or impairment did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The second crash happened around 12:30 near Tropicana Avenue and Koval Lane. Police say a man was crossing Tropicana Avenue and did not have the right of way. Unable to see traffic coming, he stepped in front of a vehicle.
The man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
