LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A toddler is recovering at the hospital in critical condition after almost drowning in a Las Vegas valley pool, according to police.
Officers responded to an emergency call shortly before 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday near Durango Drive and Mountains Edge of a child drowning.

Police say a 3-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
At this time, officers believe the incident was an accident.
Detectives are conducting an investigation, which is standard for any child near death situations.
