City leaders discuss the future of downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A community forum was held Thursday night to discuss new trends and projects that will help shape the future of downtown Las Vegas.

In a partnership between downtown Vegas Alliance and the City of Las Vegas, leaders are predicting a positive shift in economic growth, jobs, transportation and the arts district.

Attendees included the Nevada Museum of Art, Zappos, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, Circa Resort and Casino and Mayor Carolyn Goodman.

During the forum, many new projects were revealed, including Turbulence (a new unique tavern for special event spaces), a new visitor center on Main Street and a mobile app. The presentation also include an update on plans for new Circa Resort and Casino and construction of the Nevada Art Museum in 2023.
