Teen killed in crash on the way to Vegas identified

Authorities have identified the 13-year-old girl killed in a bus crash on New Year's Eve. Summer Pinzon of Asuza, California died after a Greyhound bus heading to Las Vegas Sunday went off the highway shoulder along Interstate 70.

Pinzon was traveling with her mother who was taken to a hospital after the crash.

According to Utah Troopers, round 11 pm the bus plunged into a steep wash and stopped about 200 feet away from the road. 

At total of 12 people were injured.

The driver and two passengers had to be airlifted to hospitals in Colorado and Utah. 

Investigators are still working to find out what caused the crash.

Troopers say the roads were clear and were not believed to have been a factor.

But a passenger reported a possible medical issue with the driver.

Investigators are also trying to get video from a camera inside the bus to help figure out what happened.

A spokesperson for Greyhound said they are cooperating with authorities and also conducting an internal investigation.
