A 14-year-old girl was critically injured after she was hit by an SUV Saturday evening on Warm Springs Road.
Around 8:30 p.m., a Kia Sorento SUV was traveling west on Warm Springs Road, east of Cimarron Road, when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The girl was not in a marked crosswalk. The vehicle, driven by 54-year-old Mark Gibson, came to a stop near the scene.
The girl was transported to UMC Pediatric Trauma by ambulance. She remains in critical condition.
