Suspect arrested in 2015 deadly shooting

Around 5:07 a.m. on August 11, 2015 patrol officers were dispatched to multiple reports of gunshots heard in the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard.
 
Arriving police and medical personnel located two deceased males with apparent gunshot wounds.
 
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated both of the victims were outside at the above location when multiple gunshots were fired. 
 
 
Through the course of this investigation, detectives identified 20-year-old Adolfo Rodriguez and 26-year-old Francisco Acosta as suspects in this homicide.
 
In February of 2016, warrants were issued for their arrest.
 
On March 9, 2016 an LVMPD patrol officer conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Michael Way.
 
One of the passengers in the vehicle was arrested for false information to a police officer.
 
Upon arrival at the Clark County Detention Center, the man was identified as Adolfo Rodriguez and in addition to the
misdemeanor charge of false information to a police officer, Rodriguez faces the following charges:
 
  • Open Murder (2 counts)
  • Conspiracy to commit murder
  • Robbery with deadly weapon (2 counts)
  • Conspiracy to commit robbery
 
Francisco Acosta is currently in federal custody on unrelated charges and his transfer to the Clark County Detention Center and appearance for these charges will be coordinated with the federal authorities.
