A suspect is still on the loose after an armed robbery took place at Dotty's near Jones Boulevard and Lake Mead Boulevard on Monday around 1 a.m.

The male suspect entered the business with a gun, demanded cash from the bartender, and took off through the back door.

Police say 8-10 patrons were inside the establishment at the time of the incident. Reports do not mention any injuries.

Later the same day at approximately 11:30 a.m, police said the same suspect entered a banking institution in the area of Durango Drive and Sunset Road. Again, at gunpoint, he ordered everyone to lay down on the floor and robbed two bank tellers of their tills.

The suspect has been described as a black man, possibly in his mid-30s, approximately 6’, wearing a black ball cap with white lettering, black face/head covering, sunglasses, black long sleeve shirt under a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and gloves. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
