LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Henderson has the nation's fastest growing rents, according to a newly-released report from Apartment List.
The company tracks rent rate statistics on a monthly basis and monitors rental price growth across the nation.
There are 10 large cities, with populations of over 250,000 people, where the median rent has experienced dramatic growth over the past 12 months. Henderson tops the list.
Apartment List also tracks rent growth, median prices, and market trends in the Las Vegas area.
Some of the highlights from the report include:
- Rents in Las Vegas are up 3.1% over the past year, the #5 fastest growth rate among the nation's large cities. For comparison, the national rent index grew by just 0.9% over the past year.
- Since 2014, rents in Las Vegas have grown by 20.7%, outpacing the national average of 13.0%.
- The median rent for a 2BR apartment in Las Vegas is currently $1,155 compared to the national average of $1,174.
