Nevada State Controller Catherine Byrne is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren.
Warren's campaign released a statement Sunday announcing Byrne's support for the Massachusetts senator.
Byrne said Warren is the right candidate to break up "the system of inequality that has held families and children back for decades" and can help expand opportunities for all Americans.
It's the first endorsement from a statewide elected official in Nevada for a member of the crowded Democratic presidential field.
