LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — With a West Coast team in the Super Bowl and the Patriots always getting a lot of attention, this Super Bowl is expected to see more bets places than any year before.

At the South Point hotel-casino, fans were already lining up to place their bets on Friday.

The Patriots were a slight favorite at -125 with the Rams at +105.

But betting expert Matt Jones says the real money can come from some of the prop bets.

One such wager getting a lot of attention is whether the game will go into overtime at 6/1 odds. This has been a popular wager since both conference championships went into OT.

But you can also have fun with more fun prop bets - everything from the commercials, to who wins the coin toss.

Just make sure you know your limits.

"No one's trying to make their salary on Super Bowl Sunday. Just have fun with it," Jones said.

As of Friday, the largest wager placed on the Super Bowl was a $1.5 million bet on the Rams, from a bettor using the William Hill app, with a possible payout of $1.8 million.
