Washoe County investigators have concluded a Spanish Springs man committed a justifiable homicide when he shot and killed two brothers who his elderly father on their property last April.

Sheriff's spokesman Bob Harmon said Tuesday the shooter whose name has not been released was acting in self-defense and defense of his 50-year-old brother and 75-year-old father.

The two men killed on April 25 lived across the street -- 29-year-old Glen Robins and 19-year-old Ryan Robins.

Harmon says the father had shouted at them because they were fighting and yelling outside their home, and the Robins then eventually assaulted the father and one of his sons.

Harmon says the other son told investigators he shot the men because one was pounding his father's head against the concrete driveway and the other was punching his brother.
