UPDATE: One person has died as a result of this crash.
Las Vegas police say the pedestrian was jaywalking when he was hit. He was identified as 43-year-old Eswin Lopez-Torrez of Las Vegas. He died of multiple blunt force trauma.
The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with investigators.
