A rider has died following an ATV crash near Owens Avenue and Marion Drive.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms that the rider of the ATV was traveling near the 4500 block of East Van Buren Avenue around 9:15 p.m Sunday when the crash occurred. Police said the ATV overturned, ejecting the operator from the vehicle.
The operator received critical injuries and was taken to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified as 25-year-old Irving Andrade of Las Vegas. He died of blunt force injuries to the head.
This was the 36th traffic-related death in the LVMPD jurisdiction in 2016.
