On Aug. 30, the Lakewood Police Department responded to an abduction that occurred at Chrystal’s, a business located in Lakewood, CO.

Four masked males entered the store with guns, including at least one “AK-47” style rifle with a barrel drum magazine.

The suspects grabbed an adult male at gunpoint, bound his wrists, took him outside the business and while forcing him into a red sedan, fired one shot.

On Aug 31, the victim’s family began receiving demands for ransom in exchange for his safe return.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 3, the kidnappers released the victim who had been physically assaulted during his captivity.

Investigators identified several suspects and on Sept 5, search and arrest warrants were executed in connection with this case.

A State of Colorado arrest warrant for Marco Cota-Tamaura was obtained and Cota-Tamaura is currently at large.

Cota-Tamaura is described as a Hispanic male approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 210 lbs, with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on the inside of both forearms.

Cota-Tamaura has known ties to Texas, Nevada and Mexico and should be considered armed and dangerous.
