Residents escape 2-story home engulfed by flames

A 2-story home was engulfed in flames around 6 a.m. Saturday on 2204 Spiers Avenue, near Saint Rose Parkway and Spencer Street.
 
A total of 43 firefighters from Clark County and Henderson battled the intense flames coming from the garage. Two vehicles in the driveway also caught fire.
 
The two occupants of the resident were able to escape before fire crews arrived. Neither were injured. Their dog was trapped inside the home, though firefighters were able to locate and return it to the owners unharmed.
 
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
