RENO (AP) — Police are looking for anyone who may have had contact with a homeless Reno woman before her body was found near the railroad tracks east of downtown, the apparent victim of a homicide.

Reno police identified the victim Tuesday as 30-year-old Melinda Tucker. She is from the Reno area but had been homeless at the time of her death.

Officers discovered her body at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday while responding to a report of a subject down along the railroad tracks north of the Truckee River near a gas station in the 2000 block of East 4th Street.

Homicide detectives are seeking to talk to anyone who knew her or spent time with her over the past two weeks.

Secret Witness is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the prosecution of a suspect or suspects.
