LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — From refugee to college degree, a Las Vegas valley mother is set to graduate from Nevada State College despite many uphill battles.
Nilofar Ghyasi is a refugee from Afghanistan. She enrolled into Nevada State College in 2003.
Ghyasi also supports two daughters enrolled at the college.
Now, after 16 years and many up hill battles, Ghyasi is about to graduate alongside her daughters.
