LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Southern Nevada is certainly seeing weather that the region hasn’t seen in a while, so make sure your home and vehicle are ready.
Mark Seeley with ACR Mechanical has advice if you haven’t used your heater in the last year or so.
“Don’t be alarmed if you smell a smell, it’s usually just from dust on the coils,” says Seeley.
Seeley also says to keep a constant check on your thermostat’s battery.
If you do leave home, be aware that potential snowfall may stretch into the Las Vegas valley on Tuesday morning.
AAA says to keep a close eye on current conditions before heading out on the roads.
“If you’re nervous or you feel scared about driving in the snow just make sure you know what’s going on weather-wise,” says Sergio Avila, AAA of Southern Nevada.
