Metro says the man was pointing a gun at people and wouldn't come out. He went into an apartment where he barricaded himself for 2 hours, but came out peacefully. KTNV Channel 13 Action News

ORIGINAL STORY:
Police are on the scene of a standoff near Karen Avenue and Sherwood Street.
It was reported around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Investigators say a man pulled out a gun and then took off on a moped. When police arrived at an apartment in the area, the male suspect refused to come out. Nearby apartments were evacuated.
SWAT is on scene with crisis negotiators.
