Coroner officially identifies teen shot

LATEST UPDATE: The Clark County coroner officially identified the 17-year-old teen who was killed as Manquise Lashon Adams. His official city of residence was listed as Glendale, Arizona. He died of gunshot wounds to the head and neck. His death has been ruled a homicide.

UPDATE: Police say a man inside the home woke up when the two 17-year-olds broke in on Wednesday.

Investigators say he grabbed a gun before heading downstairs where he found the two teens.

He shot both of the teens. One was pronounced dead at the scene, but the other made it outside and into a neighbor's yard. He was taken to University Medical Center in stable condition. 

Police also arrested a 13-year-old they say was waiting outside the home, helping with the crime.

Action News talked to Aaron Rose, who lives in the neighborhood. Rose says that he thought someone was kicking trash cans when he heard the gunshots. 
 
We also talked to a couple who showed up at where the incident after receiving a phone call that their child may have been involved.
 
So far, Las Vegas police have not released the names of any of the suspects. 
 
EARLIER STORY

Las Vegas police are on the scene of a shooting in the 1400 block of Daybreak Road, which is near North Jones Boulevard and Vegas Drive.

The shooting was reported at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday. Police say that two people were shot during what may have been a possible burglary. One person is deceased. The other person was transported to UMC Trauma Center. That person's exact condition is unknown.

Police later said that there are three suspects in all. Two of them are 17 years old and one is 13 years old. It was one of the 17 year olds that was killed.

The Clark County coroner will release the name and age of the deceased after relatives have been notified.
