Police are currently investigating a series of robberies at taverns and small casinos across the valley.

Two more were robbed overnight, including a Molly's and Jackpot Joanie's, near Decatur and Oakey boulevards.

Police say that three armed people wearing masks were responsible for the robbery of Jackpot Joanie's, which was reported at 2:34 a.m.. During that incident, the suspects took more than $1,000 and cigarettes. They were last seen fleeing the scene in a white vehicle.

The Molly's that was robbed earlier in the night is located near Charleston Boulevard and Buffalo Drive. That robbery happened shortly before 1 a.m.

Three other locations were held up within recent days.

They include Old Vegas Tavern on East Desert Inn Road, Dylan's Bar on Nellis Boulevard, and Skinny Dugan's on West Charleston Boulevard.

Skinny Dugan's was reportedly robbed twice within 36 hours.

Police told 13 Action News that they have not yet determined if all of the robberies are by the same people or if there has been an increase of robberies involving taverns or small casinos.

However, violent crime is up 24 percent so far this year and more officers and detectives are being put on the streets in an effort to combat the increase.
