HENDERSON (KTNV) — A Henderson police officer is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Authorities say Michael Lee Faires was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor battery charge, but police did not say what led to the officer’s arrest.

Faires has been employed with the Henderson Police Department since February 2002.
