ORIGINAL STORY:

Two men are in custody after leading police on a wild chase while driving U-Haul.

Las Vegas police were first notified about the stolen U-Haul around 10 p.m. Thursday. The caller told police that someone had stolen the truck and shot at someone trying to stop them.

Police officers spotted the stolen U-Haul soon after in the downtown area. They attempted to stop it, but the driver kept going.

Officers continued to pursue the stolen vehicle, including by air. Police say the U-Haul drove against traffic in its attempted escape.

The U-Haul was traveling westbound on Craig Road when stop sticks were used in an attempt to stop it near Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police say the vehicle continued through a business complex thought and attempted to get back onto Craig from Scott Robinson. That is when a patrol car struck the driver’s side and stopped the truck.

The driver and the passenger were both arrested.
