Las Vegas police held a press conference Monday afternoon regarding last week's officer-involved shooting.
The shooting occurred Jan. 26 in the 3600 block of Asbury Hill Avenue, near Pecos and Bonanza roads.
Police said 35-year-old Gilberto Gutierrez had stolen a car and pointed a gun at officers during a foot chase. An off-duty officer was in his car and police said it looked like Gutierrez was going to carjack him.
