Police are blocking off a neighborhood near Desert Inn Road and Rainbow Boulevard Monday morning.
Officials say a man is refusing to come out of his house after he stabbed his friend and beat his girlfriend.

Darby Avenue is closed near Rainbow Boulevard while the standoff situation continues. Several lanes of Rainbow Road have also shut down.

SWAT is en route to the scene. Neighborhood residents were given the opportunity to evacuate. Citizens are advised to avoid the area.
