The Elko Daily Free Press is reporting a plane crash at the Barrick Gold Corp. parking lot Friday night.
Dr. Rodney Badger, a cardiologist from Elko, said that the plane was an American Medflight aircraft that recently took off from Elko's airport with a heart patient who was being transported to the University of Utah.
Initial reports indicate multiple casualties. Emergency personnel routed traffic away from the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
