LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — 9-year-old sister Dachshunds named Kirra and Bella are looking for their forever home! Rescue non-profit organization Vegas Pet Rescue Projectsent us more information about their background and needs:

Kirra is a 9-year old female Dachshund. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She was surrendered along with her sister Bella to rescue after her former owner had to be moved into an assisted living facility. Even though she is a senior girl, don’t let her frosty face fool you; she is still full of spunk. She loves playing with toys, rolling around the floor, going on walks, and she loves to chase water, be it from the garden hose or the shower head during bath time. She also loves to be snuggled up beside you on the couch and loves to burrow under blankets. She has short legs so doggie stairs are a must for her to get on the couch or bed. She’s very sweet and gets along with other dogs as long as they aren’t super high energy or much bigger than she is. She knows how to use the doggie door, is kennel trained, and sleeps through the night without any issues. She is housebroken and does great in the car and on a leash. Ideally, we’d like for her to adopted together with her sister Bella, but might do okay adopted separately.

Bella is also a 9-year old female Dachshund. She is also spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Like her senior sister, she is still full of spunk. She loves getting treats, going on long walks, and snuggling in your lap on the couch. She can be bossy sometimes, barking to demand treats, food, or to be let out of her crate in the morning. However, she won’t beg for human food. Since she also has short legs, she’ll also need doggie stairs. She also gets along great with other dogs. Like her sister, she knows how to use the doggie door, is kennel trained, potty trained, does great on the leash and in car rides. Overall, she is an amazing and loving dog looking for her perfect furever home.
