The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is urging the motoring public to avoid the crowds on its busiest days of the year – the days after the Thanksgiving weekend.

DMV offices will be closed over the entire four-day Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 22-25. The Monday following Thanksgiving is usually the busiest single day of the year.

The DMV offers two dozen services online and self-service kiosks at 30 supermarkets and other partner locations.  Offices in Carson City, Las Vegas and Reno offer appointments though the DMV website here.

The department encourages customers to visit its website first to review the options.

Online services include address changes, registration renewals and driver history printouts. Many motorists are not aware they can register a newly-purchased vehicle online as well.
