Righetti faces the death penalty in 15-year-old Otremba's death. He pleaded guilty on Feb. 11 to the September 2011 death.
Righetti admitted to kidnapping, sexually assaulting and stabbing Otremba dozens of times before burning her corpse in northwest Las Vegas.
The next hearing is March 17. The penalty phase itself is not expected to start until Oct. 3.
