UPDATE: Pedestrian in critical condition after Monday crash

UPDATE: Las Vegas police originally reported the pedestrian had died but later said that 85-year-old Herschell Radford was in critical condition.

Police said he was crossing Lamb Boulevard on foot when he was hit by a woman making a left turn into the two-way center turn lane in a Toyota 4Runner.

Radford was not in the crosswalk, police reported.

He was taken to Sunrise Trauma with critical injuries.

The driver of the Toyota remained on scene and did not show signs of impairment.

ORIGINAL STORY

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Monday.

It was reported around 3:28 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Lamb Boulevard near Vegas Valley Drive. The vehicle, an SUV, stayed on scene.

The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Clark County Coroner will identify the victim upon notification of family.
