Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Friday.
It happened around 6:25 p.m. Police said a man, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, was walking east across Eastern Avenue, north of Fremont Street, when he was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The pedestrian was walking outside a marked crosswalk.
He was taken to UMC Trauma with critical injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Jeep remained at the scene and were not injured.
