A motorcyclist has died after a crash in North Las Vegas.
It happened on Monday around 5:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates a Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on Craig Road when its driver attempted to make a northbound turn onto North 5th Street. During this time, the 23-year-old motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Craig Road when he collided with the Mustang.
Witnesses reported the motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed when the two vehicles collided. The two male occupants inside the Mustang remained on scene and were not transported to a hospital.
Initially the motorcyclist was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition. The person later succumbed to injuries.
The motorcyclist was identified as 23-year-old Sinhue Reyes of North Las Vegas.
Roads in the area were shut down in the area as police investigated the crash.
