A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Las Vegas Tuesday evening.
The crash was reported around 7 p.m. near East Lake Mead Boulevard and Linn Lane, between Nellis Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street. Police said a Ford Mustang was heading westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. Police said it was a 48-year-old man was hit outside the crosswalk.
The 46-year-old driver is cooperating with investigators and did not display signs of impairment.
This is the 88th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2016.
