Pedestrian dies in North Las Vegas crash Saturday

A 28-year-old man is dead following a crash in North Las Vegas over the weekend.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Deer Springs Way and Goldfield Street involving a pedestrian.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from apparent life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel transported the man to UMC Trauma where he later died.

The coroner identified the pedestrian as 28-year-old Anthony David Petsuch of Chino, Calif.

The preliminary investigation indicates the man was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Goldfield Street from Deer Springs Way. Police said Petsuch was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford SUV.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene to speak with officers. As this is an ongoing investigation, no arrest has been made at this time.
