Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle near Boulder Hwy., Water Street

Henderson Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred early this morning.  A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking on Boulder Highway near Water Street.

The man walked into the travel lane of Boulder Highway when he was hit around 3:30 a.m. by a 1996 Dodge Ram. The driver of that truck has been named as 39-year-old Cleveland Haddicks. Haddicks was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. Neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash

The pedestrian, who died at the scene, was said to be outside a marked crosswalk and walking in the street.

The roadway was closed for about three hours while fatal crash investigators conducted their investigation.
