A man is behind bars after a standoff on Thursday with sheriff's deputies in Pahrump.
69-year-old James Rourke was reportedly suicidal and fired several rounds at the ground in front of his garage during the standoff.
A negotiator was eventually able to convince the man to surrender.
He is now facing several charges, including illegal possession of a firearm.
No one was injured during the encounter.
