Henderson officials said it is ongoing investigation.

SECOND UPDATE: The shooting victim was identified as 22-year-old Lamar Reid.

UPDATE: The owner of the home where the shooting happened tells 13 Action News the fight between the two men that led to one of their deaths was about rent.

She says her daughter was living in the house and her daughter's friend, Michael Lanunziata, was visiting from Colorado.

He had been there a couple weeks.

The homeowner says her daughter had been dating the victim. He stayed over Friday night.

On Saturday morning, the victim told Lanunziata he should be paying rent and the fight escalated from there.

ORIGINAL STORY

HENDERSON (KTNV) -- One man was shot and killed Saturday morning in Henderson.

According to Henderson police, officers were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Pleasure Lane near East Paradise Hills Drive and U.S. 93 after a neighbor heard gunfire and called 911 around 6:20 a.m.

Police say a man in his late 20s or early 30s was killed by another man who lived in the same home. There was a woman in the home at the time of the shooting who was uninjured. It is unknown what her relationship is to the men.

Henderson police have not been called to the house for any domestic violence-related issues in the past.

The suspect is in custody. He was identified as 28-year-old Michael Lanunziata.

The name of the man killed will be released by the Clark County coroner.

Neighbors were surprised something like this would happen in their community.

"It's a little disturbing because we're in a gated community," said neighbor Linda Frisa. "You didn't think it would happen."
