One person is dead after a crash near Nellis Boulevard and Vista Flora Way, near Desert Inn Road.
Around 10:53 a.m. a 2017 Jeep Patriot was traveling southbound on Nellis Boulevard, approaching a "T" intersection with Vista Flora Way.
A 1998 Nissan Sentra turned left from eastbound Vista Flora Way onto northbound Nellis Boulevard, but failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and collided with the Jeep.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department is investigating the crash. LVMPD says this is the 111th traffic fatality under their jurisdiction for 2017.
