One person is dead and another injured in a crash Monday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 3:40 p.m. near West Flamingo Road and Marble Ridge Drive, not far from where Flamingo and Desert Inn roads meet in Summerlin.

Police said a Toyota Sienna attempted to make a left turn from Marble Ridge Road onto Flamingo Road when it was struck by a Jeep Wrangler. Both vehicles overturned onto their sides.

According to police, the Jeep was driving at an excessive speed.
