One person is dead after a motorcycle crash on Friday.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. near Buffalo Drive and Elkhorn Road. Investigators say a motorcycle and pick-up truck collided after the driver of the truck made a left-hand turn, cutting off the oncoming motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died on the scene despite wearing a full-face helmet.
The deceased has been identified by friends as 21-year-old Brandon DeGrella. A group of his friends and coworkers gathered at the scene of the crash late Friday night, lighting candles in his memory.
The coroner officially identified the deceased as Brandon Michael Degrella of Las Vegas on Saturday morning. The official cause of death is still pending.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on felony DUI charges. Police have identified him as 49-year-old Erik Provencal.
