Nevada Highway Patrol officials report that one man is dead and another is fighting for his life after a wrong-way collision on the 215 beltway, near Eastern Avenue.
The crash occurred at around 3:40 a.m. when a Ford Mustang that, reportedly, was traveling eastbound on the westbound 215 beltway hit a 4-door Nissan head on.
The 26-year-old male driver of the Mustang was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 41-year-old male driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There were other passengers in either vehicle.
It has not yet been determined whether impairment was a factor or not but it is being investigated.
