A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Wednesday night.
The crash was reported around 8:10 p.m. in the 800 block of East Flamingo Road near Swenson Street. The crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle.
A spokesman tells 13 Action News the driver of this car was heading south.
The driver decided to turn left to go to gas station. That driver crossed over a median and into oncoming lanes. The car plowed into the motorcycle, who flew off his bike and onto the ground.
Police say the driver ran over the rider, who was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police tell 13 Action News the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
Police say drugs and alcohol do appear to be factors in the crash. The driver of the car, who was not injured, will likely face charges.

The deceased was identified on Thursday morning as 65-year-old Jose Hernandez of Las Vegas.
