ORIGINAL STORY
HENDERSON, Nev. (KTNV) -- One person is dead, and another is in critical condition following a two-vehicle rollover in Henderson.
Nevada Highway Patrol says the crash happened near I-215 and Green Valley Parkway around 6:23 a.m. A Pontiac Grand Prix was making a lane change when the vehicle collided with a Nissan Sentra. The Nissan overcorrected and struck the Pontiac, causing both vehicles to roll over.
The 26-year-old male driver of the Pontiac died at the scene. A 25-year-old female passenger and the 20-year-old woman driving the Nissan were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Regional Transportation Center of Southern Nevada alerted that the right lane was blocked on the eastbound side the I-215 at Green Valley Parkway due to the collision. The beltway has since been reopened.
Officials do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
