LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Officials are responding to a large fire in east Las Vegas Monday morning.
Around 5:12 a.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire in the 700 block of Radwick Drive, near Bonanza Road and Hollywood Boulevard.
The first crews to arrive saw the vacant two-story home, which was under renovation, fully involved in flames and discovered the fire had spread to a casita at the back of the property.
The people inside the casita evacuated without injury, and crews deployed lines to keep the fire from extending to nearby structures.
By 6:46 a.m., the incident was fully contained.
Here's video from the scene:
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The main house has been determined to be a complete loss. The casita sustained moderate exterior damage, but crews were able to save the belongings inside.
Clark County Fire was assisted by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, Nevada Energy, Southwest Gas, and the Las Vegas Valley Water District.
