Crews are searching for a man in his 60s who went missing while swimming in Lake Mead this week.

At 1:20 p.m. Sept. 6, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received a 911 call reporting that a swimmer went underwater near Sentinel Island in the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead.

Crews from National Park Service and Nevada Department of Wildlife responded and have been searching for the past two days the area where he was last seen. The search will continue Friday.

Witnesses said the victim was not wearing a life jacket. The incident is under investigation.
