An officer was injured when he hit by a car Thursday night.
Las Vegas police were investigating at Manor Suites Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard near Warm Springs Road around 8:30 p.m.
Police were trying to take a man into custody, when he took off running across Warm Springs Road. The officers chased him across the road.
A car stopped in the road for the officers. A second car rear-ended the stopped car, causing it to move forward into one of the officers.
The officer was taken to University Medical Center. He's expected to be OK.
Police said the car that caused the chain reaction crash took off.
Police took into custody the man they were chasing. Police did not specify why he was being arrested.
