An off-duty sheriff's deputy was in the right place at the right time when a road-rage incident broke out in Sparks.

The deputy ended up holding two suspects at gun point Wednesday afternoon after he witnessed a physical confrontation in which a pipe and a knife were produced on Greg Street near Rock Boulevard.

The deputy called Sparks police but one suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers could respond.

The other suspect turned out to be the victim and cooperated with the officers.

A couple of hours later, police tracked down Robert Mosher and arrested him for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, simple battery and obstruction.

No one was hurt.
